Illustration - Education

The illustrations on this page are mostly for components of graded programs to teach literacy and mathematics to Primary-school and lower Secondary-school students.

I use a variety of styles and techniques, and can develop new ones to suit different stories cultures, and markets. But, sometimes it's just to try something new that might work better and/or be more exciting than any style I've used before, and occasionally it's because a new material or technology becomes available. Some of the styles I use are represented here.

I've spent a long time learning how to master many different materials, so I use all sorts of media to make my pictures: electronic, water-colour, other paints, coloured pencil, pastel, charcoal, pen, brush and ink, and collage.
